Trio of Organizations to Receive Baldrige Award
These three organizations were selected as recipients of the Baldrige award after examiners sorted through 85 applications, 13 of which received site visits:
Poudre Valley Health System, Fort Collins, CO, in the healthcare category. The private not-for-profit healthcare organization serves residents of northern Colorado, western Nebraska and southern Wyoming.
Iredell-Statesville Schools, Statesville, NC, in the education category. This K-12 public school system, located in southwestern North Carolina, includes 19 elementary schools, seven middle schools, five high schools, two alternative/at-risk schools and two early colleges. ISS is a K-12 member of ASQ.
Cargill Corn Milling, Wayzata, MN, in the manufacturing category. The company makes corn and sugar-based products, serving food, feed and fermentation markets.
The Baldrige program is managed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), an agency of the U.S. Commerce Department, with sponsorship and administrative support from ASQ. The awards will be presented in a ceremony early next year in Washington, D.C.
