ASQ and UTL Promote Quality Concepts to
Students in Mexico
Milwaukee, Wis., October 1, 2008 — The American Society for Quality (ASQ) and the University of Technology of Leon (UTL) have teamed up for the 3rd International Quality Congress. The event will take place November 13-14, 2008, in Poliforum León, Guanajuato, Mexico.
The congress, “Innovation: A Tool for the Quality Culture,” will promote the culture of quality to the education system and 1,300 students of all ages, ranging from junior high to university level. Featured speakers include Peter L. Andres, ASQ president-elect, who will speak to the students about innovation.
“This event is very important for us because we try to transmit the culture of quality with the students; they are the future of quality,” said Rúben P. Ortegon, secretary of International Relationships, Universidad Tecnológia de León.
