ASQ India Plans 1st Quality Conference for C-Level Executives
World’s Leading Business Management Guru, Tom Peters, to Speak
Milwaukee, Wisconsin, May 14, 2008 — The American Society for Quality (ASQ) and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) have joined forces to promote business excellence and quality to Indian CEOs and other senior level executives at a Nov. 21, 2008, conference in New Delhi.
ASQ provides the resources that allow Indian companies to remain aware of international standards through stable quality systems and continuous quality improvements. ASQ also serves the needs of existing and future ASQ members in India by developing and implementing programs that provide meaningful and relevant value.
“Bringing quality training and certification to India is in line with our vision to make quality a global priority,” said Paul Borawski, executive director and chief strategic officer of ASQ. “Assisting the corporations, business leaders and quality professionals in training the work force to produce quality goods and services is good for both India and the many multinational corporations that do business there.”
The event will feature the world’s leading business management guru, Tom Peters. Peters is co-author of the groundbreaking business book In Search of Excellence. He is also the chairman of the Tom Peters Company, a global training and consulting organization, specializing in provoking and energizing transformation. His publications focus mainly on innovation (The Circle of Innovation) and “re-imagining” the organization. The theme of the conference will focus on how to bring innovation, quality and business excellence together to enhance competitiveness in the world market.
