ASQ Launches Healthcare Quality Practice Seminars
Free Webinars to Focus on Key Healthcare Delivery Issues
Milwaukee, Wisconsin, September 5, 2007 — Today’s most crucial issues related to healthcare quality and delivery will be the focus of a new series of four sponsor-supported seminars offered via the Web by the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
The first Healthcare Quality Practice Seminar is titled Measure, Manage, Monitor, and Improve: Case Study on Improving Hand Washing Compliance, andis scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 10, 1-2 p.m. CDT. The webinar features Bellin Hospital, Green Bay, Wis., and is sponsored by Statit Software, a leader in continuous performance improvement solutions for healthcare.
The webinar, presented by Colleen O’Brien, will discuss the process Bellin Health underwent while preparing for a visit from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). O’Brien is the team leader of Quality Resource at Bellin, as well as an ASQ member.
Each webinar in the ASQ Healthcare Quality Practice Seminar series will last one hour and will include a 45-minute case presentation followed by 15 minutes of Q&A. Seminars will be of interest to healthcare quality professionals and healthcare administrators who have responsibility for quality improvement within their organization. Future topics will include establishing and tracking effective measures, Six Sigma basics, PDSA, FMEA and value-added analysis.
