ASQ Announces New Officers for 2007-08

Orlando, Florida, April 29, 2007 — At the annual business meeting held in conjunction with the World Conference on Quality and Improvement, ASQ announced the following slate of officers for the 2007-08 term:

Chairman	Ronald Atkinson
President	Michael Nichols
President-elect	Roberto Saco
Treasurer	E. David Spong

Current ASQ president Ron Atkinson will assume the chairman’s duties on July 1, 2007, and Michael Nichols, who is currently president-elect, will move into the president position. 

President-elect and treasurer positions were decided as a result of elections that took place this spring.  There were three candidates in contention for the president-elect position and two for treasurer.  The results of those elections, which were announced at the annual business meeting by Mary Strutzenberg, chair of the Tellers Committee, were as follows:
