Welcome to the Summit Outcome Activity Results - SOAR Network!The source of SOAR was the October 2005 Member Value Leadership Summit, where more than 200 ASQ member leaders met to form a blueprint for the quality community that they wanted ASQ to be. Hundreds of ideas, suggestions, and comments were captured at this two-day summit, and these were distilled into three principal themes relating to ASQ as both a business and a member community: education and training, member leader communications, and Quality Body of Knowledge™. Task forces were set up around each of these themes. In addition, a separate architecture task force was assembled to coordinate work on the three themes and other issues raised at the Summit, to manage emerging issues, and to communicate progress. Efforts to address each of these themes were grouped under the umbrella name S.O.A.R. (Summit Outcomes Activity Results). Dozens of member leaders and staff enlisted to work on the four task forces.
